JAMB to consider only candidates with basic requirement for admissions - Official

- The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) said only candidate who meet up with admission requirements will gain entrance into institutions - The board said all candidates must fulfill the basic requirement of an O'level or A' level certificate - JAMB also said scoring above the 120 cut-off mark announced by JAMB is not a guarantee for gaining admission The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has warned that only candidates who meet up with the basic admission requirements would be admitted for the 2017/2018 academic year. The board said all candidates expecting to gain admission into any tertiary institution for the forthcoming academic year must fulfill the basic requirement of an O'level or A' level certificate. JAMB's registrar Ishaq Oloyede while speaking in Abuja at a Training and Sensitization Forum on Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) for admission offers, candidates and stakeholders on Thursday, September 21, said the necessary requirements must be met. Oloyede added that scoring above the 120 cut-off mark announced by JAMB is not a guarantee for gaining admission.
